Go-to places for shopping
Amazon / Amazon Prime Membership
Reaaalllly like the convenience of buying things without leaving my house and getting it shipped right to my doorstep. Amazon is my go-to, and I have 101+ reasons why I love them, but super busy people (especially moms) should level up and go for Amazon Prime. Get subscriptions for your everyday household goods (never worry about running out of diapers with Amazon’s Subscibe and Save program AND save 20% if you set up a subscription for it) so you can set it and forget it because you have tons of other things to tend to anyway.
And aside from shopping, there are TONS of other benefits from Amazon Prime, like free, fast shipping, streaming video (cancel your Netflix!) and music, Kindle reads, and other things.
Sometimes Target has better prices (like on their store brand items) than Amazon, and there are instances where you just need to go into a brick-and-mortar store to try things out (anyone else have problems finding clothes that actually fit properly?). I love that you can stack so many coupons at Target to get huge savings and other hacks to save a bunch of money at Target. It’s also the best of both worlds (online and in-store), especially when you order online and can pick up in store.
Maximize your shopping
Please don’t pay full price for anything ever again. Save those hard-earned dollars for things like college or family vacations. Use these sites/apps to keep more of your money in your pocket.
Ebates to earn cash back on your shopping – Sometimes I’ll say no to shopping, but I’ll never say no to saving money doing it. Get a $10 welcome bonus when you make your first purchase.
Ibotta for rebates – Get a $10 welcome bonus when you make your first purchase. This is great for getting money back on groceries, but Ibotta has expanded to include retailers like Target and Amazon.
Butterfly Bundles for discount codes – Like Groupon for popular stores like Target and Macy’s. For a limited time, get $20 worth of credit for only $10!
Basics for your wallet
I’m a HUGE fan of credit cards for their benefits. If you pay your full balance each month by the due date and use the credit cards for purchases that you need to make, all the rewards you get are basically free money. Top picks:
Chase Freedom Unlimited for 1.5% cash back on all purchases.
