Disclosure and Privacy Policy | Mommy Over Work

This page contains some of the legalese that bloggers must disclose.

Disclosure

I’m sure you realize that I have the potential to earn money from my website, but there are some things I need to legally disclose per the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), who wants to protect you from intentionally errant or misleading advertising (and rightfully so). Just to make it clear:

  • The content of this blog is a source of income for me and therefore may be used to promote products, services, or other businesses.
  • I have affiliate links sprinkled throughout the blog, which earn me a commission.
    • The good thing is, it’s at no additional cost to you and may even provide you with an extra benefit like a free trial or discount. Win-win!
    • I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com (again, at no additional cost to you).
    • You may already know about my 101+ reasons why I love Amazon. One of my favorites being its smile.amazon.com program where 0.5% of a purchase is donated to charity. Since I personally use this program when I buy from Amazon, but I’d appreciate the commission from your purchases, if you go through my links to make any purchase from Amazon, I will donate 10% of my Amazon commissions to charity. A triple win!
  • Products provided to me by advertising partners for my review are given to me free of charge with no cost to me; however, this does not ensure a positive review of the product in any way.
    • You can trust me to give my genuine opinion about a product or service whether or not I’m partnering with the service provider and/or receiving payment to do so.
    • I rely on reviews of others to decide whether or not I would purchase the product or use a service myself, so you can be assured that I won’t screw you over. I strongly believe in karma and don’t mess with bad juju.
  • Because this site is more than just a side income for me and that I truly want it to help others, for any monetary earnings resulting from this blog, I will donate 10% to charity
  • Mentions of associated products/services/businesses within the content of this blog may or may not be noted as an affiliate in every reference.

  • WILL guard the info like a mama bear guards her young
  • WON’T spam you because I’m a vegetarian and don’t like spam
  • WON’T sell your information because I don’t sell out friends

Also, I can only control my actions, so I cannot be responsible for republished content from this blog on other blogs or websites without my permission.

Additionally, the third-party advertising companies that serve ads on this website use aggregated information (not including your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.
