By Sylvia | Mommy Over Work · This post may contain affiliate links, marked with *

I'm willing to admit that my house is in a constant state of mess. My husband and I were able to keep up with housework decently pre-kid, but after our two kids were born, we're lucky if we have time to shower.

I went on a search of some efficient and easy house cleaning tips that would keep our house organized (somewhat) and allow us to keep up with some kind of reasonable cleaning schedule. Well, Pinterest did not disappoint.

Here are 10 great lists that have taught me the best, most thorough clean house tips for every square inch of the home that only take 30 minutes or less.

Weekly house cleaning schedule

Breaking up the house into sections and taking care of smaller parts of the house each day makes the task much more manageable. Here's a weekly cleaning schedule that lists it all out for you already:

  • Monday: bathrooms
  • Tuesday: bedrooms
  • Wednesday: living room
  • Thursday: kitchen
  • Friday: entryway, stairs, hallways
  • Saturday: dining room
  • Sunday: home office

Plus have a list of tasks that should be done every day:

  • Making the bed
  • Managing clutter
  • Sorting mail
  • Clean up after meals/in kitchen

Doing little things every day can really cut down on the pile-up of messes and help you keep up with having a neat home. These simple things include:

  • Take shoes off before entering home
  • Make the bed
  • Keep kitchen counters clean
  • Clean while cook
  • Wipe down after shower
  • Put laundry away

Love the last tip to follow the 2-minute rule. If something can be done in 2 minutes, then just get it done instead of putting it off and letting things pile up. (via Pin image)

I would like to have my house cleaned since it's already very unorganized. Thank you for sharing here as well the importance of de-cluttering first. I also agree with you that its kitchen and bathroom must be disinfected.
